PARTIAL DISCHARGE DETECTION METHOD AND PARTIAL DISCHARGE DETECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial discharge detection method that enables detection as to whether partial discharge has ever occurred in the past from a molded switch, for changing over distribution line systems of an on-road apparatus. SOLUTION: This is a method of detecting the partial discharge of the molded switch 4 for changing over the distribution line systems incorporated in an enclosed casing 2 of the on-road apparatus 1. A liquid 20 containing NOx in solution is arranged inside the enclosed casing 2. This partial discharge detection method detects the presence of the generation of the partial discharge by analyzing at least one of nitric acid concentration and nitrous acid concentration from the liquid 20. The presence of the generation of the partial discharge may be detected, by analyzing at least one of nitric acid concentration and nitrous acid concentration from condensed water attached to the inside of the enclosed casing 2.
