PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-speed and highly accurate positioning control in a disk device equipped with a fine movement actuator and a main actuator. SOLUTION: The disk device is provided with a fine movement actuator 3, a main actuator 8, a head position detector 11, a main control unit 50, a main drive 19, a fine movement control unit 20, and a fine movement drive 17. The fine movement control unit 20 receives a position signal pe output from the head position detector 11 and, based on the input signal pe, generates a fine movement control signal um to output it to the fine movement drive 17 only when a target track is within an operation range if the target track is positioned within the operation range of the fine movement actuator 3, and outputs no fine movement signal um if the target track is not within the operation range of the fine movement actuator 3.
