PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the position of an optical pickup to a predetermined position. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a spindle motor 21 for rotary-driving an optical disk 9, an optical pickup 2 for emitting a light to the recording surface of the optical disk 9, main and sub guide shafts 3 and 4 parallel to each other for supporting the optical pickup 2 to guide the movement in a radial direction of the optical disk 9, a first holding member 22a for holding one end of the main guide shaft 3 and a second holding member 22b for holding the other end, and a third holding member 22c for holding one end of the sub guide shaft 4 and a fourth holding member 22d for supporting the other end. First to fourth adjusting mechanisms are disposed in the first to fourth holding members 22a to 22d, and one and the other ends of the main guide shaft 3 and one and the other ends of the sub guide shaft 4 are moved up and down to be held at predetermined heights.
