PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment allowing a user to easily perform update processing without taking trouble. SOLUTION: In this electronic equipment, an arithmetic part 18 performs processing based on a program stored in a storage part 17. The arithmetic part 18 downloads an updating program from a personal computer 50, and stores it in a DVD 30. The arithmetic part 18 decides whether connection with the personal computer 50 is released or not, and updates the program stored in the storage part 17 by the program stored in the DVD 30 when the connection with the personal computer 50 is released.
