PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle side structure of innovated construction capable of suppressing deformation of the side part of a vehicle, in particular a center pillar, against a side collision which the vehicle has encountered. SOLUTION: The forefront of a wire member 20 for a locker is secured to one part of the front of the locker 3, while the tail is fixed to one part of the rear of the locker 3. The tops of two wire members 25 and 18 for center pillar are fixed to door hinges 17 and 18 installed on the center pillar 5, and the bottoms are secured to part of the wire member 20 for the locker. When other car etc. runs against the side of the vehicle 1, tensile force is applied to the wire members 20, 25, 28, so as to suppress the deformation of the side of the vehicle 1.
