PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the breakage of a roof rack supporting device disposed on a roof of a vehicle at the time of sudden slowdown of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the roof rack supporting device, on the roof 1 of the vehicle, a front side attaching member 2, and a rear side attaching member (not shown) are oppositely fixed in a vehicular fore-and-aft direction at an interval. Front and rear end portions of a rail 4 extending in the vehicular fore-and-aft direction are respectively fixed to the front side attaching member 2 and the rear side attaching member. On the other hand, an end portion 5' of a front side roof rack supporting bridge extending in a vehicular width direction is fastened to the rail 4 by a fastener 8, and a stopper 11 of the end portion 5' of the front side roof rack supporting bridge is fixed on the rail 4 while spacing to a vehicular rear side from the front side attaching member 2.
