PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus using a die coater with wide width of 1 m or more covered/processed by a fluorine based resin, capable of obtaining a coating product with less coating failure having uniform coating film thickness in a coating width direction even if coating for a long period of time is performed and easily performing cleaning, and a production method for a die coater. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, at least a part of a bar constituting a surface contacted with a coating liquid of a die coater having a pocket part for spreading the coating liquid in a coating width direction, a coating liquid feeding port for feeding the coating liquid to the pocket part and a slit part for delivering the coating liquid from the pocket part to the object to be coated and assembled with at least two bars is covered/processed by a fluorine resin based resin. After the bar is placed on a placement surface of a heat-treated base and is subjected to calcination treatment in a calcination furnace, working-up grinding processing is performed.
