<p>A method for protecting data service in metropolitan transmission network, in the metropolitan transmission network, the working channel is defined between a source node and a working destination node of the service. The method comprises: deciding a protective destination node among the nodes except for the working destination node, and establishing the protective channel that protects the service in the working channel between the source node and the protective destination node. The source node detects a transmission link in the working channel and the protective channel and a failure state of the nodes on the transmission link. The working destination node and the protective destination node detect the failure state of the tansmission link connected with a data equipment receptively, and inform the source node when failure occurs. When detecting the transmission link of the working channel or the failure state about the nodes, or receiving a notice of failure about the woking destination node, the source node switchs the data service from the working channel to the protective channel.</p> |
