Printed image production device has printing machine with at least one illustration device (13) in which the respective print images belong to the same page of a printed product from the printing machine. The printed products are available prior to developing their printed images in the form of image data (02) containing data files. A raster image processor (03) in each case only converts image data (02) of the print image assigned to a respective printed image location. A network is provided for electronic communication at least of the image data (02) in which each raster image processor (03) is connected to an interface receiving image data (02) at this network, which at the interface of each raster image processor (03), makes available the data with image data (02) to all the printed images of printed product page.
