<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for recognizing sebaceous prints capable of decomposing the trace of sebaceous prints remaining on a medium and recognizing sebaceous prints stably. <P>SOLUTION: A device 1 for recognizing fingerprints has a conveying means 21 for conveying a card 11 within the device 1, a charging means 7 for charging the card 11 within the device 1, a toner image forming means 8 for forming a toner image within the device 1 by developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the card 11 in accordance with fingerprint information, a shape information forming means 9 for forming shape information of the toner image, an output means for outputting the shape information, and a sebum decomposing means 4 for decomposing the fingerprint information on the card 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
