PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal amplification method and an amplifier device by which steeper edges, particularly for pulse-controlled erase and write operations, can be generated, without the advantages of the control loop being lost, in particular the good noise suppression in conjunction with low spurious emission during the reading operation. SOLUTION: In the signal amplification method for amplifying, in a servo amplification path, a difference between each of reference signals having various different levels and a return signal, in an output signal path (20), attenuated by feedback coupling attenuation (28), during an operation with a remarkable level change, a bypass amplification path (40) is connected to the servo amplification path, power that is phase-coupled to the reference signal, is fed to the bypass amplification path, and the bypass amplification path feeds power to the signal output path (20) together with the servo amplification path.
