摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolyester which generates a very small amount of deposits on a spinneret even when continuously spun for long hours and exhibits excellent moldability, and a copolyester fiber. SOLUTION: The catalyst for polyester polymerization comprises a solution A comprised of an alkylene glycol solution where an organic titanium compound is dissolved and a solution B comprised of an alkylene glycol solution where an organic orthochromatic agent, which has a maximum absorption wavelength region within the range of 520-640 nm as measured in the wavelength region of 380-780 nm by a visible or ultraviolet spectrophotometer, is dissolved or dispersed.
