PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual cap tightening torque measuring device capable of measuring a cap tightening torque easily and accurately even in the case of a container having a special shape or a large size. SOLUTION: This cap tightening torque measuring device includes a rotary shaft 2 engaged with a cap P and elongated in the axial direction of the cap P; and a cap rotation lever 3 whose one end is fixed to the rotary shaft 2, elongated in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the rotary shaft 2. In the device, an operator presses a load cell 4 onto the rotation lever 3, to thereby apply a load, and calculates the cap tightening torque. The device also includes a load cell placing rotation lever 6 engaged rotatably with the rotary shaft 2, and having a holding part 6a elongated in the direction orthogonal to the rotary shaft 2 and holding the load cell 4 on its tip. The device has a constitution wherein the load cell 4 is held rotatably around the rotary shaft 2 through the load cell placing rotation lever 6, and rotated around the rotary shaft 2, to thereby apply a running torque to the cap P.
