PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and compact gas-liquid separator constituted so as not only surely perform gas-liquid separation corresponding to the condition of a sample, but also to humidify the sample with a low dew point corresponding to the condition of the sample, and to provide an analyzer that uses it. SOLUTION: The gas/liquid separator 1 has an inlet part 2 for introducing the sample, wherein a gas and a liquid coexist, a space part 3 having a predetermined volume for permitting the sample to pass, a liquid storage part 6 having a predetermined volume enabling the gas-liquid contact with the sample, an outlet part 4 for discharging the sample, based on the gas and a drain discharge part 5 for discharging a separated liquid and also has a structure capable of altering the volume of the space part and/or the volume of the liquid storage part.
