PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of welding work by elongating the time interval for changing electrode tips. SOLUTION: An electrode tip holder 10 comprises a chuck body 40 having a first tapered inside peripheral surface 40a in which an inside bore increases with the distance toward its tip end, a lock nut 44 to be engaged with the tip end male screw portion 40b of the chuck body 40, and a collet 48 to be fitted in the inside bore. The collet 48 is pressed in the axial direction by engaging the lock nut 44 with the tip end male screw portion 40b, and grips an electrode tip 46 inserted into an inside diameter portion 48f by being contracted by the elastic deformation of slits 48a. The collet 48 comprises first tapered outer peripheral surfaces 48b to be brought into contact with a first tapered inner peripheral surface 40a, and groove portions 48c provided on the first tapered outer peripheral surfaces 48b. The chuck body 40 comprises coolant supply ports 40c which are opened at the positions facing to the groove portions 48c and supply the coolant to the groove portions 48c, and coolant collecting ports 40d for collecting the coolant from the groove portions 48c.
