A mobile metallic base for a beehive has a front corresponding to the front of the beehive, a rear corresponding to the rear of the beehive, first and second opposing sides extending between the front and rear of the mobile metallic base and corresponding to the sides of the beehive, a first leg at the front and extending between the first and second opposing sides, and a second leg at the rear and extending between the first and second opposing sides. The first and second legs include supports that receive connectors which connect the mobile metallic base to the rest of the beehive.
