The joint comprises an upper (A) and a lower (B) section each with a 45 degree cut face (H) which lie one upon the other. A pivot in the form of a hexagon headed screw is fitted in a hole extending through the cut faces of the joint sections so that the joint sections are interconnected to pivot by 360 degrees around the screw. In the center of both cut faces there is a circular ring of teeth of identical shape and depth which by the pressure of a knurled nut (D) screwed from the outside onto the thread of the screw are inter-engaged against the resistance of the screw head (I), forming a rigid lock.
