<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present information on a displayed icon with respect to an image processor, method, program, and recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A user operates specified buttons so as to display a screen for acquiring information on the icon when the user cannot recognize what meaning the icon displayed to the screen has. When the specified buttons are operated, areas 161 to 164 are displayed onto the screen. The areas include a plurality of icons. The user selects an area where information he/she wants to acquire is included. When such a selection is made, the screen is switched to a screen for presenting information on the icons included in the selected area.
