<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source device capable of realizing a wide viewing angle of a liquid crystal display panel to be illuminated, and to provide a liquid crystal display device provided with it. <P>SOLUTION: A surface light source device is provided with a light source 22, a light guiding body 21 provided with an incidence surface 21a which light emitted from the light source 22 enters, a first major surface 21b and a second major surface 21d facing each other which emit the incident light entering from the incidence surface 21a, a reflecting layer 25 arranged on the second major surface 21d side of the light guiding body 21, a diffusion layer 26 arranged on the first major surface 21b side of the light guiding body 21 and constituted by laminating a plurality of diffusion sheets 26A, 26B and a lens layer 27 arranged on the diffusion layer 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
