<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell in which simple and sure assembling is secured, in which necessary expenses can be suppressed, and in which an internal resistance can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A counter electrode 4, a separator 6, an action electrode 3, and an electrode pressing member 20 are sequentially mounted in a housing part 16 of the lower side casing 8, and a guide member 21 is arranged in the circumference of the electrode pressing member 20 so that a reference electrode 5 will be contacted with the separator 6. After an electrolytic solution is injected into the in the housing part 16 until the separator 6 is impregnated, a second coil spring 22 is mounted on the upper face of the guide member 21, the intermediate casing 9 is mounted on the lower side casing 8, and the upper side casing 7 is mounted on the intermediate casing 9. After a pressure stem 15 is inserted into an insertion hole 14, a pressure adjustment bolt 12 is threaded and fastened to the center cylindrical part 10 in a state that the second coil spring 22 is pinched.
