<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing epoxy resin modified by methoxy-containing silane, which is excellent in heat resistance, insulation, adhesion, and water resistance and transparent and not generates voids and cracks, to provide an epoxy resin composition containing the resin, to provide a cured material (half-cured or completely cured one) obtained from the resin composition and to provide a method for producing the cured material. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing epoxy resin modified by methoxy-containing silane is obtained by subjecting (1) a modified epoxy resin, obtained by reacting (a) at least one epoxy resin selected from a bisphenol type one and a novolac type one with (b) a fluorine-containing bisphenol compound and (2) a methoxy silane partial condensate to demethanolation condensation reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
