<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration sensor and its manufacturing method for absorbing and suppressing impacts applied to a stopper by an elastic adhesive, such as a silicon rubber directly applied to the stopper, reinforcing the stopper, improving the mechanical strength such as impact resistance, simplifying a manufacturing process, and enhancing the yield. <P>SOLUTION: The acceleration sensor is provided with a periphery fixing section 12 for flexibly supporting a spindle fixing section 13, a spindle 23 fixed to the spindle fixing section 13, a seat 21 for fixing the periphery fixing section 12 to a sensor mounting section so as to dispose the spindle 23 at a predetermined interval from the sensor mounting section at a bottom 61 of a package, and the stopper 15, disposed in a position opposite to the sensor mounting section and limiting a displacement of the spindle 23.
