<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily magnify and display the face area of a person in an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image display program 16 is stored in a memory 11 of a personal computer 2. When the image program is started, a browser control part 18, a face information detection processing part 19, a face area specification processing part 20, and a display processing part 21, etc., are generated in a CPU 10. The browser control part 18 displays an image display browser on the screen of a monitor 12. The face information detection processing part 19 detects face information consisting of both eyes and positions of the eyes of all persons from a review image displayed in the image display browser. The face area specification processing part 20 specifies a face region on the basis of positions of the both eyes of the face of a person whose position is the nearest to a position designated roughly by a user in the review image.
