PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component which is superior in adhesion to a wiring board. SOLUTION: The electronic component 10 is a ceramic capacitor incorporated in a wiring board, for example. The ceramic capacitor 10 is provided with a dielectric part 140 having main surfaces 117 and 118, a first nickel electrode 11 as a metallic electrode formed on the main surface 117, and a second nickel electrode 31 as a metallic electrode formed on the second main surface 118. The first main surface 117 and the second main surface 118 are partly exposed over by communication parts 151 and 152, respectively. Uneven layers 141 and 142 formed of a plurality of convexes 51 are formed respectively on the exposed parts. A resin insulating layer enters the uneven layers 141 and 142.
