PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed detector installing structure in control renewal of an elevator, capable of easily installing a new speed detector, without applying complicated remodeling at a job site, by using an existing hoisting machine as it is. SOLUTION: The new speed detector 12 is installed on a rotary shaft 6 of the hoisting machine via an extension shaft 10, by using the extension shaft 10 having an adapter part 13 detachably joined to an end part of the rotary shaft 6 of the hoisting machine.
