METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXAMINING EFFECT OF TRANSFECTION OF siRNA INTO CELL BY ANALYZING PLURALITY OF GENE EXPRESSIONS ON MICRO-ARRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool and a method designed to readily interpret a change caused in a cell which is a three-dimensional complicated control system when an siRNA (a small interfering RNA) is transfected. SOLUTION: A limited number of data obtained by quantifying the intensity of signals present on a spot distributed on a two-dimensional surface are analyzed. Effects of the presence of a specific RNAi (RNA interference) on main vital cellular functions and adverse effects or deleterious effects which may be caused by transfection or by the presence of the RNAi in the cell can be observed. An array provided with a nucleic acid or a protein belonging to at least 5 vital cellular functions and three deleterious functions or representing each function can be used to make the change in the three-dimensional state of the cell clear.
