PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation device enabling moisture control of culture soil so as to be advantageous for growth of plants. SOLUTION: The plant cultivation device is provided with the following: a light source 2 irradiating light to a plant 3; a moisture content sensor 6 detecting the moisture content of the culture soil where the plant 3 is planted; and a control device 5 controlling lighting operation of the light source 2 in accordance with the moisture content detected by the moisture content sensor 6. Another version of the plant cultivation device is provided with the following; a heat source 4 supplying heat to the plant 3; a moisture content sensor 6 detecting the moisture content of the culture soil where the plant 3 is planted; and a control device 5 controlling the heating operation of the heat source 4 in accordance with the moisture content detected by the moisture content sensor 6.
