A plurality of encryption keys is used for encrypting or decrypting a plurality of clip files containing content data in such a way that each of the plurality of encryption keys is used for encrypting or decrypting the whole or partial data of each of the plurality of clip files. The encrypting method in accordance with the present invention allows different titles to be encrypted with different encryption keys even in the case where some data segments are shared by multiple titles.
