Determination of mycoplasma contamination integrated with gene expression profiling of cell cultures using DNA chip technology

Disclosed is a method for detecting a microorganism contamination in a culture of eukaryotic cells to be used for gene expression profiling, by using a microarray which has attached on its surface at least one nucleic acid probe representing a gene of a eukaryotic cell and at least one nucleic acid probe representing a gene of a microorganism, e.g. mycoplasma.
