<p>A fluid dispensing system (30) includes a pump (33) for pumping fluid from a container (37). The pump has a vent opening for venting air into the fluid in the container to normalize pressure inside the container as the fluid is pumped. An intake shroud (48) is coupled to the pump (33), and the shroud includes a channel opening (105) to draw fluid from the container into the pump in a straw-like manner. A baffle (133) is positioned between the vent opening (113) and the channel opening (105) of the shroud to reduce ingestion of the air into the pump (33) so as to reduce short or inconsistent dosing of the fluid when pumped.</p> |
