PURPOSE:To obtain a wax for improving the gliding properties of skis. CONSTITUTION:This wax for skis comprises one or more perfluoroalkyl iodides represented by the structural formula CnF2n+1I [(n) is an integer of 10-20) or a composition containing the perfluoroalkyl iodides. Furthermore, 10-20C solid perfluoroalkyl iodides having <=120 deg.C melting point are preferred as the perfluoroalkyl iodides. |
