PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the compact layout of a wheel speed detecting device for motorcycle having a swing unit. SOLUTION: A motorcycle with the structure that a rear wheel WR is pivotally supported by a right side surface in rear of a swing unit 15 supported by a car body freely to be rocked upward and downward and that a belt type continuously variable transmission 16 for driving the rear wheel WR and a reduction gear train 17 are housed in the swing unit 15 is provided with a pulsar ring 54 in the right side surface of the rear wheel WR opposite to the swing unit 15, and a wheel speed sensor 55 facing to the pulsar ring 54 is fitted to a swing arm 35 extended in the right side surface of the rear wheel WR. With this structure, diameter of the pulsar ring 54 can be reduced and the fitting space can be easily secured without generating an interference with a transmitting mechanism or the like arranged in rear of the swing unit 15. |
