摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an output of a solar cell to a capacitor, so as to improve the charge efficiency of the capacitor by the solar cell, in a charging apparatus which charges an electric double layer capacitor (hereinafter referred to as "a capacitor"). SOLUTION: The charging apparatus 10 comprises: a step-down type switching regulator 32 which has at least a switch 40 and converts power to be supplied from the solar cell 12 to the capacitor 14 corresponding to the variable duty ratio of the switch; a detecting circuit 57 which detects the output current of the solar cell; a duty ratio control unit 84 which controls the duty ratio of the switch; a detecting circuit 50 which detects the current of the capacitor; and a command value supply part 60 which dispersedly changes the command value of the output current of the solar cell and supplies it to the duty ratio control unit, without referring to the voltage of the capacitor. The command value supply part dispersedly changes the command value so that the capacitor current may be substantially maximized, based on the characteristic of the time changes in the capacitor current associated with each dispersed change.
