The present invention relates to a non-carbon material-inserted spherical carbonaceous powder comprising spherules formed from randomly agglomerated carbon thin flakes having an average size of 0.1 to 40 µm, the spherules having pores formed between the layers of the thin flakes, and a non-carbon material inserted into the pores. The inventive spherical carbonaceous powder has a high density, high strength, and enhanced lithium storage capacitance, thus exhibiting high energy density and high capacitance, and therefore, it can be beneficially used in a lithium secondary battery.
