<p>The invention relates to a standard packing material (1) to be applied in a biological cleaning process, in which a liquid and/or gas to be cleaned is guided in a longitudinal direction through the packing material (1). The packing material is put together of mutually coupled, closed synthetic plates, in which longitudinally arranged profiles have been made, in such a manner that a stack of plates realises a longitudinally arranged tubular structure.
