A distribution box 1 contains bus-bars 7, 8, 9, 10, for feeding current from supply pins 4, 4a and 3, 3a to socket contacts of various types connected to the bars connected and accessible from the top surface of the box through holes (Fig. 1, not shown) in the casing. The socket contacts may be hollow bolts 2 and may be embedded in the casing passing through holes in the bus-bars and being secured to them by nuts, or they may be bar-mountings each having two pairs of leaf springs with two perpendicular axes of symmetry (Figs. 10, 11, not shown). Earthing bus-bars may be provided having resilient apertured sections (Figs. 12, 13, not shown) for receiving various shapes and sizes of earthing pin. Cut-outs may be connected between the supply pins and the bars and a neon lamp 15 may be used to indicate when the bars are "live". |
