The present invention concerns a slime preventing/removing agent which can remove slime from portions such as kitchen sinks and bathroom drain outlets where slime is grown by metabolites such as miscellaneous germs and mildews and which can prevent the occurrence of slime safely and for an extended period of time.
The slime preventing agent comprises an antimicrobial agent of non-bleaching powder type, such as 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolinone or organic iodine, preferably in the form of a clathrate compound, pressure molded with a base material such as a phosphate, calcium sulfate, acetoacetate tolidide or -anilide, lactose and fatty acid esters of glycerin or sucrose.
