<p>2 - Oxo - 2,3 - dihydro - 1H - benzdiaz-[1,4] epines which carry an esterified carboxyl group in the 3-position are prepared by condensing the corresponding 3-unsubstituted compound with a carbonic acid diester. Many of these compounds are sedatives, tranquillizers, anticonvulsants and muscle relaxants and they may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them, with or without other (unspecified) active ingredients, together with a carrier.</p> |
