It is possible to select an information selection method in a mobile station (MS) so as to evade increase of transmission power of a base station (BTS) or duplication or deficit of reception information in the mobile station (MS) when performing broadcast communication and multi-cast communication. The mobile station (MS) includes reception method selection information acquisition sections (11, 14, 15, 16) for acquiring reception method selection information for receiving the same information transmitted via a plurality of cells and a judgment section (12) for judging whether to perform a maximum ratio combination or a selection combination for the same information according to the reception selection information.
