The device has a body including upper and lower through holes (310a, 310b) connected to air inlet passages (260, 270), respectively of a vacuum cleaner. A turbulence chamber (315) separates, in a centrifugal manner, polluting substances from air entered in the chamber through the hole (310a). An air inlet pipe (350) has an outlet orifice (350c) across a base of the chamber, where the orifice is connected to the hole (310b). An independent claim is also included for a vacuum cleaner having a cyclone type dust collection device.
