<p>#CMT# #/CMT# Aqueous composition (I) comprises water-soluble heptanoic acid salt (Ia) (1-10 g/l), an oxidizing agent (Ib) (1-10 g/l), at least one triglyceric fatty acid (Ic) (6-18C) (50-800 g/l) or at least a drifting ester of the condensation of at least 1-10C aliphatic alcohol comprising 1-4 hydroxyl group, with at least 8-22C mono, di, or tri fatty acid, and optionally a nonionic surface-active agent (Id). #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method of hardening/working a steel strip/plate, comprising applying (I) on the surface of the steel strip/plate and hardening/working of the steel strip/plate; and (2) a method of enameling/painting of the steel strip or plate, comprising applying (I) on the surface of the steel strip/plate, degreasing the steel strip/plate and enameling or painting. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# (I) is useful to treat the surface of the steel strip or plate, to improve protection against corrosion and lubrication of the strip or plate. (I) is useful for hardening, working, enameling or painting the steel strip or plate (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (I) has improved protection against corrosion and lubrication of the strip or plate (claimed). (I) is nontoxic and biodegradable against corrosion. (I) has effective resistance over wet and atmospheric corrosion. (I) provides improved smooth surface without black spots and craters. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Composition: (I) comprises (Ia) is at (2-6 g/l), (Ib) is at (5-7 g/l), and (Ic) is at (80-500 g/l). Preferred components: (Ia) is an alkaline metal or alkaline earth salt (preferably sodium). (Ib) is nitrites or perborates. (Ic) is: a natural vegetable oil (copra oil, carthame oil, colza oil, sunflower oil, soya oil, palm oil and/or olive oil); a synthetic oil (which is obtained by reacting glycerol mole with tri-fatty acid); and triglycerides of oleic acid, sebacic acid, ricinoleic acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid. The ester derives (sebacic acid, oleic acid, ricinoleic acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid or stearic acid) are synthetic oil and 8-22C fatty acid. The 1-10C aliphatic alcohol ester derives is (preferably dioctyl sebacate) methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, ethylhexanol or pentaerythritol. (Id) is at lower or equal to 15 wt.%. The weight measured after drying the strip or plate is 0.1-1 g/m2>.</p> |
