PURPOSE: A nonaqueous electrolyte solution and a secondary battery using the electrolyte solution are provided, to prevent the swelling of a battery after or during high temperature storage, thereby obtaining excellent charge/discharge characteristics. CONSTITUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte solution comprises a nonaqueous solvent where a C6-C16 unsaturated hydrocarbon is dissolved; and a lithium salt, wherein the C6-C16 unsaturated hydrocarbon comprises C, F and H, and has at least one C-C unsaturated bond in a molecular structure, and any one of a C-C unsaturated bond itself, a carbon atom bonded to a C-C unsaturated bond and a carbon atom adjacent to the carbon atom is substituted with F. Preferably the unsaturated hydrocarbon is represented by A-Rf-B, wherein A and B are independently a vinyl whose H can be substituted with F, F or H, and at least one of A and B is a vinyl group whose H may be substituted with F; and Rf is a C2-C14 divalent fluorinated hydrocarbon group whose carbon atom bonded to a vinyl group or carbon atom adjacent to the carbon atom is substituted with F. |
