The method involves cleaning of sealing caps (1) of a container e.g. bottle, by soaking the sealing caps in a cleaning bath (2). The sealing caps are adjusted by floating the caps on the cleaning bath while taking into account of their density. The adjusted sealing caps are evacuated towards downstream machines e.g. drying machine, by sliding the caps towards a base of an inclined plane. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a container sealing cap cleaning and orienting method.
