#CMT# #/CMT# The equipment is for absorption of collision energy between a train and a living being and incorporates activation device, a support component for a being during and after a collision and a shock absorption component. The support and shock absorption components are fitted in or on the front side of the train for activation by the outward folding of at least a part of them from the front side of the train shortly before or during a collision. #CMT# : #/CMT# On the front side of a train (2) a catchment device (1) is arranged, which in a passive state is inwardly folded. After the detection of a living being on the rails by a sensor (10) or by the action of the driver, the equipment is activated. This causes four tubes (11,12,13,14) to be extended outwards. On the front of the tubes, a net (5) is arranged. The under side (7) of the net is concave for prevention of the risk that the net touches an object on the ground.
