<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing optical elements capable of readily, efficiently, and inexpensively manufacturing the optical elements, such as a liquid crystal color filter, an electroluminescence element, and a field emission display, of a high grade in a good yield by suppressing the occurrence of color mixing, voids, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the optical element by forming at least a plurality of pixels on a supporting substrate and partitions existing between the adjacent pixels, includes a process of forming a photosensitive resin composition layer by applying a coating liquid containing a photosensitive resin composition to make the water repellency of a coating film surface relatively higher than the water repellency within the coating film to the substrate and drying the coating, and forming the partitions by a photolithography process from the photosensitive resin composition layer; and a process of forming the pixels by supplying the liquid constituting the pixels in regions surrounded by the partitions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
