<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion apparatus employing a three-dimensional LUT and an interpolation arithmetic operation that carries out color conversion with a small circuit scale without degrading the accuracy of interpolation at a final divided position by grid divisions. <P>SOLUTION: The color conversion apparatus includes: an input value conversion means for converting an input value of each element in n-bits into an integer or a fixed-point value with a range from 0 to 2<SP>n</SP>in (n+1) bits or over; an interpolation apex selection means for selecting an interpolation apex used for the interpolation arithmetic operation by using low-order bits of the value converted by the input value conversion means; a lookup table reference means for referring to a multi-dimensional lookup table on the basis of the high-order bits of the value converted by the input value conversion means and information of the interpolation apex selected by the interpolation apex selection means; and an interpolation coefficient calculation means for calculating an interpolation coefficient by using the selection information obtained by the interpolation apex selection means and the low-order bits of the value converted by the input value conversion means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
