PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an online service needing an authentication to a communication terminal having no authentication information by utilizing the authentication information of another communication terminal. SOLUTION: The authentication apparatus 100 is connected communicably to a communication terminal 10 requesting a service needing the authentification and a communication terminal 20 holding the authentication information through a network. When the request of a service to be provided by a service providing device 30 is received from the communication terminal 10, the authentication apparatus 100 generates session information with respect to the service, transmits the session information to the communication terminal 10, and authenticates the communication terminal 20 according to received authentication information when the communication terminal 10 receives the session information and the authentication information from the communication terminal 20 acquiring the received session information from the relevant communication terminal 10. When the authentication is made successful, it is permitted to provide the service to the communication terminal 10 on the basis of the session information received together with the authentication information.
