PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel realizing miniaturization by making a constitution part having some thickness out of an entire optical system retreat to an optimum position at non-photographing time, and to provide optical equipment having the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The lens barrel equipped with collapsible structure has; a retreat lens barrel 14 turned centering a rotary shaft 14a so as to retreat to a position out of an optical axis in the case of collapsing, and holding a part of the optical system; and a light quantity adjusting device 10 provided on the optical axis.
