PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular gasket with a metal base plate and a rubber coating covering both faces of the base plate, for suppressing the permeating leakage of refrigerant gas from the outer peripheral face. SOLUTION: The annular gasket comprises the metal base plate and the rubber coating covering both faces of the base plate. The ratio (the thickness of the rubber coating/the thickness of the base plate) of the thickness of the rubber coating to the thickness of the base plate is set smaller on at least part of the outer peripheral face than on the other portion of the gasket. The sum of the thickness of the base plate and the thickness of the rubber coating are kept constant over the whole gasket. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
