PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication terminal having a gear shifting information providing function, and a gear shifting information providing method using the same, capable of providing gear shifting information suitable to vehicle speed to a driver with unskilled driving technique, and preventing the vehicle from being damaged by gear gear shifting unsuitable to the speed. SOLUTION: This mobile communication terminal is provided with a speed detection part to obtain travel speed data of the vehicle, a control part to analyze travel speed data of the vehicle received from the speed detection part, and output a corresponding control signal in case gear shifting conditions of the vehicle are met, and a sound output part to output a gear shifting guide message to a user by a control signal from the control part.
